One day I'm gonna ask others that if you aren't reading Umi "Do you even understand love?"

I am about to cry

Don't! Your pieces about your grandma were so profound yet relatable I even bought your old books. Hopefully they still pay you after so many years.

I'll probably be like 你可以不扛

But then I'll risk rounding too dismissive of what's on your shoulders

"I carried expectations. I carried stability. I carried the quiet understanding that if I faltered, other things might falter with me."

So many people struggle with this thought. It is nice to hear it being expressed here.

Umi, Thanks for sharing the landscapes of your thoughts and experiences. It feels familiar to me, causes me to look inward to remember experience of the heart. You sound like when love, or being held comes back around, that you will recognize it and will be able to enjoy it and not loose your sense of self, and not end up carrying it by yourself. Great writing!

Thank you, Justin.. your message made me pause. In a good, soft way. I’d like to think so, or hope so. 🤍
